From early 2024 through to the end of 2025, RBS Group delivered an extensive refurbishment programme at Bupa Liston Heights Retirement Village in Taupō, a well‑established aged‑care facility serving residents and their families.

Our scope ranged from minor upgrades to full‑scale refurbishments of units, villas, and apartments. Many of these transformations involved complete strip‑outs and rebuilds, including new kitchens, modernised bathrooms with contemporary fixtures and appliances, and refreshed living spaces designed to enhance comfort, accessibility, and functionality for residents.

To achieve this, we coordinated a wide network of local subcontractors — including plumbers, electricians, painters, flooring installers, tilers, and HVAC technicians — alongside our in‑house carpentry team. This integrated approach ensured each refurbishment was delivered to a consistently high standard by experts in their respective trades.

Each unit was completed within a strict 30‑day turnaround, demonstrating our capability to manage multiple trades efficiently while maintaining rigorous quality and programme expectations. Strong relationships with local suppliers such as Placemakers and Ideal Electrical supported timely procurement and budget alignment throughout the contract.

As the partnership evolved, our role expanded to include the development of Care Suites within the hospital wing, further showcasing RBS Group’s expertise in delivering high‑quality, resident‑focused facilities within the aged‑care sector.
